New Scott Spark 30

Met Aaron, the new Scott rep, today at the shop. Real good guy. Hopefully he will last longer than the other Scott reps. It seems like the rep position for that company is like being a professor of the Dark Arts at Hogwarts, you only last a year. (Nerdy I know, but it is what came to mind.

He had the new Spark 30 and a new redesigned CR1 to show us. Very nice bikes. He said he will send the Spark to me so I can rip it up and I WILL rip it up

I will let you all know how it all goes in a future post.

VW Cruise

fall foliage This weekend I went on a VW cruise in New York with a few friends of mine. It was to be a VW Scirocco cruise for the most part. If you are not a VW fan then you are probably asking “What is a Scirocco?.” Well this link may help a bit. There are not a whole lot of these cars around and running so this was kind of cool to see a bunch cruise the Taconic parkway and backroads of NY.

The other great thing about this cruise was that it was only an hour and a half drive for us to get to the Fishkill area of NY. After the drive we got to meet people that came from PA, MD, NJ and even Canada. There were a few cars there that never made it to the states and were pretty interesting. There was even a right hand drive car brought over from England.

This whole cruise was posted and organized by Mike who was a great guy. Had fun talking to him. All the info for the cruise was handled through VWVortex, a very popular VW enthusiast forum.
